Don Karl brings over two decades of visionary hospital leadership, financial acumen, and large-scale healthcare system development to Oron Health’s Executive Leadership Council. As Chief Executive Officer of HCA’s Las Palmas Medical Center from 2015 to 2024, Don oversaw a transformative era in which the hospital launched advanced specialty programs including a Kidney Transplant Program, Robotic Surgery, and TAVR (Transaortic Valve Replacement), while also leading the development of two free-standing Emergency Rooms, a new ICU, and a Women’s Tower with Level IV maternal certification and Level III NICU.

Previously serving as COO and Hospital CEO within Affiliated Hospital Systems and Hermann Hospital in Houston, his deep operational expertise spans hospital finance, strategic construction, and expansion into underserved tertiary communities and specialty care services.
